Albert Kuchinski
Albert Kuchinski was born in Paris in 2002 and began playing the cello at the age of six. After studying with Thomas Duran, he has studied since 2020 with Marc Coppey at the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP). He received important inspiration from masterclasses with renowned cellists such as François Salque, Philippe Muller, Louis Rodde and Lluís Claret. He has taken part in numerous festivals in France and abroad, including the Festival Présences de Radio France (2022), the Festival de la Chaise-Dieu (2023) and the Festival Ravel (2024). In 2020 Albert Kuchinski co-founded the Trio Luminescence together with violinist Raphaël Garac and pianist Sophie Boucheau. The trio studied with the Trio Wanderer and was artist-in-residence at the Festival de la Chaise-Dieu in 2023, where it collaborated with musicians such as Pierre Fouchenneret, Lise Berthaud and Romain Descharmes; it is regularly invited to perform.
Albert Kuchinski also performs with a wide range of ensembles, from small chamber formations to symphony orchestras. He is regularly invited to play with renowned ensembles such as the orchestra of the Opéra National de Paris, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris and the Orchestre de Paris. He often collaborates with young composers and performs, as soloist and ensemble member, works by contemporary composers such as Tristan Murail, Frédéric Durieux, Gérard Pesson, Philippe Manoury, Unsuk Chin and Steve Reich.
