Contemporary music by Spanish-speaking composers
A concert, in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes, Frankfurt, showcasing the diverse musical languages of spanish-speaking composers
The Spanish language unites the composers of this concert, whose biographical roots range from Santiago de Chile to Buenos Aires and Mexico City: Macarena Rosmanich (composer-in-residence at the Archiv Frau und Musik in Frankfurt), Cecilia Arditto and Mario Lavista, who died in 2021, bring sonic perspectives from the Latin American region.
Their works enter into a dialogue with established Spanish composers such as José María Sánchez-Verdú (Algeciras) and up-and-coming composers such as Mikel Iturregi (Bizkaia) and Tomás Jesús Ocaña-González (Málaga, also clarinettist in the ensemble and curator of this project).
