Yuheng Chen

Yuheng Chen is a Chinese composer based in Vienna. His music explores memory and the transformation of personal trauma through dense textures and resonant pulses. He studied composition with Michael Jarrell and Clara Iannotta. His works have received several international awards, including the Toru Takemitsu Award and the Gustav Mahler Prize, and have been performed by ensembles such as Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Recherche, Ensemble Phace, and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
